Cookie Dough Fundraising AtlantaA cookie dough fundraising campaign is one of the best ways to raise funds for most school activities, youth programs and also church-related events. However, when it comes right down to it, the success of your fundraiser is not really about what you sell! That may sound strange, but it is true none the less. How successful your fundraiser is has more to do with “HOW” your run your sale than what you run it with.

A case is point is the Cedar Park Pop Warner Football League. They sold cookie dough for the last 4 or 5 years and they always did pretty good doing about $24,000 each year. Last year they did cookie dough again, but made a couple of changes in the way they ran their sale and had a $63,000 fundraiser! Big difference wouldn’t you say? BUT… it wasn’t the product that made the difference.

The exact same thing happened last fall with Johnson Elementary. In fact, they had been doing $22 – 25,000 fundraising sales for years. Last year, they did cookie dough again and just like that, it came in at $63,400. They did the exact same thing that the Cedar Park Football group did. They did it the same way the Cedar Park League did it. They even had almost the same number of kids in their school as the league had on their teams. Is that a coincidence?

What made the difference in these fund raisers?
